In order to improve fire safety, Petrokemija, pursuant to the 2020 Business Plan, purchased a new emergency fire engine that uses a water and foam system with a capacity of 5,000 litres of water and 500 litres of foam. The vehicle was supplied by the verified supplier ZIEGLER d.o.o.
This is the first new fire engine purchased since 2012. Its value, including the installed firefighting equipment, is HRK 1.5 million.
The purchase of the vehicle significantly increases the operational capability of the professional fire brigade, thus reaffirming Petrokemija's commitment to maintaining maximum possible fire safety.
In order to further upgrade the system, Petrokemija plans to purchase two additional fire engines in the next two years, and thereby completely renew Petrokemija fire brigade’s vehicle fleet.
The keys to the new fire engine were handed over to the chief fire officer of Petrokemija Professional Fire Brigade Ivan Peterfi, in the presence of the President of the Management Board Davor Žmegač, Member of the Management Board Željko Marić and their associates, as well as the director of ZIEGLER d.o.o. Darijo Marinić, regional vehicle sales manager Željko Pisk and Sales manager Mia Budišin.
