The President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović visited Petrokemija d.d. today. After putting flowers in front of a memorial plaque for Croatian soldiers killed in war at the entrance to our company, she met Management Board and the Supervisory Board members who introduced her with the recently completed recapitalization and privatization process. "I am exceptionally pleased that this process has been completed successfully," the president said. She was interested in markets to which Petrokemija exports its products, in gas prices and the number of workers.
"First of all, we want to strengthen our market in Croatia as well as to keep or increase sales in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and also Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Austria," said Davor Žmegač, President of the Board. He added that we have a business model that is viable and that it is crucial for Petrokemija to be a market-driven company. "We are doing everything in agreement with social partners and I believe Petrokemija has a future," Žmegač concluded.
