The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Ante Šušnjar, accompanied by his associates, visited Petrokemija. During the visit, the Ministry's delegation toured key production facilities and held a working meeting with the Company’s Management Board.
The meeting addressed important topics related to Petrokemija’s investment plans and business goals. Special emphasis was placed on investments in existing facilities, the renovation and modernization of the ammonium nitrate production plant, as well as an analysis of the potential construction of a new plant for the production of granular urea.
On this occasion, Minister Šušnjar highlighted that the planned investments in capacity modernization and innovation will further strengthen Petrokemija’s market position and contribute to the increased competitiveness and sustainability of Croatian industry.
„First and foremost, I would like to thank the employees of Petrokemija for their contribution – especially the expert technical staff, many of whom have spent their entire careers here. They have built, preserved, and continue to develop Petrokemija, and they are prepared to face new challenges in the future. None of this would have been possible without them,” emphasized Minister Šušnjar. He also noted that the state’s role in making key strategic decisions has been significantly strengthened through the involvement of a Croatian representative on Petrokemija’s Management Board.
The Company’s Management Board also praised the dedication, knowledge, and efforts of more than a thousand Petrokemija employees, emphasizing that the goals and plans of the owners and the Management are based on the strong engagement of all staff.
The planned investments confirm the strategic orientation of the owners – ARY Holding and the Republic of Croatia – as well as the Petrokemija Management, with a clear goal of returning the company to a path of profitability and long-term stability.
